it is a sad week for me as I have lost our Acharya Sri Sankara Narayan Vadhyar (Holla). He was aged 89. He was the patron of "AKHILA KERALA KANNADA BRAHMANA SANGHAM" Makaliam, Irumpanam, Tripoonithura, Ernakulam.
Sri. Sankara Narayana Vadhyar the esteemed Acharya was born in Korya Mane at Balthila village on 1st March 1922. He studied up to Upper Primary level. He learned Veda Mantras from the near relatives in his neighborhoods. In 1940 he joined Veda Padasala at Sringeri. He completed his Rigveda studies under Sri. Ganapathi Thunga at Sarappadi. He studied Pourohithyas, Graha ganitha and Jyothisha from Sri. Rama Aithalar and Sri. Mahabala Aithalar.
He has been closly associated with my grand father Late Narayanan Embran, Velimparambu Madam, Chemmanadu, when he reached Ernakulam in 1950s.
It is definitely the lost cannot be replaced.
I have also lost my grand father Sri Govindan Emrandiri, Perunninakulam (71) and grand mother Srimati Devakiammal Kaninadu(69).
There has been a car accident at Kodungalloor on 23/01/2010 evening, and the above three were in that car.
